St. Norbert Fares Well at UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER - St. Norbert College finished in fifth place out of 11 teams at a highly competitive UW-Whitewater Invitational at Kachel Fieldhouse.

The Green Knights posted 66 points. UW-La Crosse won the team title with 191.2 points, while the University of Chicago was second with 132.5 points.

The distance medley relay of Graceanne Tarsa, Brianne Barta, Claire Van Beek and Joyana Tarsa won with a time of 12:53.75. The 4x200-meter relay of Maddie LeBrun, Sarah Duff, Katherine Wanie and Sydney Olund was second with a time of 1:47.75. The 4x400-meter relay of LeBrun, Duff, Morgan McClone and Cora Purdue was second in 4:03.01.

St. Norbert had three runners score in the 800-meter run. Graceanne Tarsa was third in 2:22.93, while Alex Bruley was fifth in 2:23.25 and Joyana Tarsa was eighth in 2:24.27.

Audrey Makope was fourth in the 60-meter dash in 7.90 seconds, while Kristina Herman was fifth in the shot put at 38 feet 10 1/2 inches.

Three pentathletes finished in the top eight, with Sarah Wiseman finishing fifth with 2,920 points, Lauren Rottier in seventh with 2,770 points and Hayley Winzenried eighth with 2,757 points.

Gretchen Price was sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 19:05.60, while LeBrun was sixth in the 200-meter dash in 26.63 seconds. Anna Giblin was sixth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.77 seconds, while Wanie was seventh in 9.89 seconds.
