Trine Pulls Away From St. Norbert

DE PERE - St. Norbert College lost a 3-1 decision to Trine University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Thunder snapped a 1-1 tie with a pair of second-period goals.

Trine scored at 6:42 of the first period on a goal by Theresa DiMaggio, a marker that would hold up into first intermission.

The Green Knights answered when Liisa Cramer scored at 12:52 of the second period, with Jessica Schlaff and Mary Laken assisting. The Thunder would come right back with a goal by Sula Argyris at 14:35 to retake the lead. Argyris added an insurance goal with a power-play score at 18:10.

St. Norbert had four power-play chances in the third period and Trine had three but neither team scored. The Green Knights finished 0-for-6 on the power play, while Trine was 1-for-6.

Trine outshot St. Norbert 35-33. Molly Scarborough made 32 saves for the Thunder, while Anais Aurard made 32 stops for the Green Knights.
