DE PERE - St. Norbert College won the Midwest Conference championship outright for the eighth time in the decade of the 2010s and clinched the No. 1 seeding and hosting privileges for next weekend's Midwest Conference Tournament with a 90-62 rout of Lawrence University at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

The Green Knights (18-6, 16-1 MWC) will host the MWC Tournament on Feb. 22-23 at Mulva Sports Center.

St. Norbert fought through a sluggish first half by closing the last four minutes on a 10-2 run to take a 41-34 lead into halftime. Wade Geenen scored 15 of his team-high 20 points before intermission.

The Green Knights held a 51-47 lead with 13:44 to go before going on a 7-0 run over the next three minutes to go up 58-47. The Vikings got a three-point play from Quinn Fisher with 10:07 to go to cut the deficit to eight, but that was the last gasp as St. Norbert pushed the lead back to double digits by scoring on the next two possessions. St. Norbert held Lawrence to just 10 points in the last 9:15 of the game.

St. Norbert shot 50 percent (34-for-68) from the floor and held a commanding 43-24 rebounding edge. In addition to Geenen's 20 points, Drew Yetka finished with 18 points - 15 in the second half. Joe Lemon had 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Logan Krekling added 11 points.

Lawrence shot 40.4 percent (21-for-52) from the floor. Brad Sendell led all scorers with 21 points, while Fisher added 14 points.
