DE PERE - St. Norbert College remained in contention for a Midwest Conference Tournament berth with a 69-46 victory over Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

The Green Knights (11-13, 10-7 MWC) won for the ninth time in their last 11 games. If Ripon College beats Knox College on Saturday, St. Norbert will reach the MWC Tournament regardless of their result against Monmouth College. The win came in Tilley's last home game as coach of the Green Knights.

St. Norbert closed the first quarter on an 8-0 run to take a 23-13 lead. Macie Zurfluh, Sarah Neumann, Ali Hoeft and Olivia DeCleene all had baskets during the run. The Green Knights led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter before settling on a 34-24 halftime advantage.

The Green Knights couldn't pull away from the Vikings in the third quarter until DeCleene's 3-pointer late in the period pushed St. Norbert ahead 49-34. Zurfluh canned a 3-pointer almost two minutes into the fourth quarter for an 18-point lead, and Lawrence wouldn't get closer than 15 points the rest of the way.

St. Norbert shot 52.8 percent (28-for-53) from the floor. Zurfluh finished with 15 points, while Christine Olijnyk added 12 points. DeCleene had 11 points, while Sarah Ratajczyk added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Lawrence shot 32.1 percent (18-for-56) from the floor. Shonell Benjamin led the Vikings with 12 points.
