St. Norbert Finishes MWC Championship With Fifth-Place Finish

GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College's return to women's swimming and diving resulted in a fifth-place team finish at the Midwest Conference Championship at Grinnell College's Osgood Pool.

The Green Knights, returning to competition after a 10-year hiatus, totaled 242 points. Grinnell won the conference title with 973 points, while Lawrence University was second with 651 points. Lake Forest College was third with 613 points, while Illinois College was fourth with 325 points.

The 400-yard freestyle relay of Miranda Wilson, Emily Frey, Clare Santas and Haley Wagner finished in fourth place with a time of 3:49.02.

Wilson finished in sixth place in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:17.12, while Brittney Zimmer was 12th in 2:27.95. Wagner was eighth in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:36.12, while Kaitlyn Herman was 10th in 3:12.37 and Sarah Dix 11th in 3:51.03.

Kirsten Williams was 10th in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:42.99, followed by Sarah Vigil in 14th at 2:49.27 and Lisa Pearson in 16th at 3:02.73. Santas was 12th in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.12 seconds and Frey was 15th in 56.65 seconds.
