Green Knights Second at Rose-Hulman Opener

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - St. Norbert College opened its outdoor season with a second-place finish in the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Early Bird Meet.

The Green Knights finished with 165 points, finishing behind Rose-Hulman’s 176.5 points.

The 4x100-meter relay of Emelia Lichty, Katherine Wanie, Lauren Rottier and Sydney Zima won with a time of 51.56 seconds.

Rottier won the high jump with a height of 5 feet 1/4 inch. Sydney Moore was sixth and Shelby Puralewski seventh, both jumping 4-6 1/4.

Graceanne Tarsa won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:28.65, followed by Alex Bruley in fourth at 2:31.37 and Tatiana Johnson sixth in 2:32.95.

Emma Sweere won the shot put with a distance of 35-4 and added fourth-place finishes in the discus at 99-9 and in the hammer throw at 112-11.

Brianne Barta was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:03.15, while Megan Cibulka was eighth in 1:05.92. Zima was third in the 100-meter dash in 13.26 seconds, while Lichty was fourth in 13.49 seconds.

Haidyn Mueller was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.75 seconds, followed by Wanie in fifth at 16.18 seconds and Anna Giblin in sixth at 17.10 seconds.

Rottier was fourth in the javelin throw at 80-8, Hayley Winzenried sixth at 79-5, Hannah Mader seventh at 75-3 and Nicole Barth eighth in 62-5.

Bruley was fourth in the 1,500-meter run in 5:05.50 and the 200-meter dash in 27.35 seconds. Mader was fourth in the triple jump at 31-8 3/4, while Morgan Pinardi was fifth at 31-8.

In the 200-meter dash, Wanie finished fifth in 27.41 seconds and Lichty was sixth in 27.44 seconds.
