AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College freshman pitcher Mason Sefcik twirled a 1-hitter in the opener to lead the Green Knights to a doubleheader sweep of Keuka College by scores of 10-0 and 10-4 at Lake Myrtle Park.

Sefcik did not allow a Keuka baserunner reach third base while walking four and striking out four in his first collegiate start. Keuka's only hit came with one out in the third inning.

The Green Knights blessed Sefcik with tremendous run support, scoring seven runs while the first eight hitters of the game hit safely. Lucas Reynolds singled followed by a Jack Maastricht triple. Ben Kohl singled and Griffin Jack doubled to set up Max Van Boxel's two-run single. Brett Reinhart and Sean Ferraro singled, followed by Van Boxel scoring on a passed ball. Peyton Jack's two-run single then completed the seven-run uprising.

Griffin Jack had another run-scoring double in the second inning, while Ferraro added a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Reinhart forced in a run being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the sixth inning.

Maastricht was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, while both Jacks were 2-for-3.

In the nightcap, St. Norbert had another big first inning. The Green Knights scored five runs on three hits in the top of the first inning to take control. Van Boxel had a single and Reinhart a three-run triple to put St. Norbert ahead 4-0, followed by an Isaac Gerhardt sacrifice fly.

St. Norbert scored twice more in the third inning on a Gerhardt two-run single. Van Boxel's RBI single in the fourth inning put the Green Knights ahead 8-0. Keuka scored two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings, but St. Norbert got two runs back in the sixth inning on a Reinhart sacrifice fly and a Ferraro RBI single.

Van Boxel was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, while Reinhart scored two runs and four RBIs. Reynolds was also 2-for-4.

Bryce Braspennickx got the win, allowing four runs on seven hits with three walks and six strikeouts in four innings pitched.
