Wiseman Sets St. Norbert Heptathlon Record

SAN DIEGO - St. Norbert College junior Sarah Wiseman set a school record in the heptathlon to lead the Green Knights at the San Diego State Aztec Open and Invitational.

Wiseman totaled 4,173 points in the heptathlon, narrowly clipping Erin Lang's two-year-old mark of 4,164 points. Wiseman's point total is the top mark in Division III so far this season.

Sarah Duff, Morgan McClone, Maddie Lebrun and Cora Purdue finished the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:56.30 against several Division I foes to set a top five-time in Division III so far this season.

Graceanne Tarsa finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:21.98. Kelley Gardipee was eighth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:52.53 and Joyana Tarsa was 14th in 4:57.33 out of a field over over 40 runers.

Kristina Herman finished fifth in the shot put at 40 feet 2 inches while Savanna Smith was eighth at 38-3 1/4.
