St. Norbert Handles Ripon

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College evened its record in the Midwest Conference with an 8-1 win over Ripon College at Western Racquet & Fitness Club.

The Green Knights (6-10, 3-3 MWC) won all three doubles matches to take control.

Johnny Zanotti and Andrew Gehring defeated Drew Jorgensen and Marcus Austin 8-6 at No. 1, followed by an 8-1 win for Alex Vandenberg and Luke Andrekus over Adrian Granados and Junmo Kwon at No. 2. Jordan Crump and Matt La Violette defeated Preston Wurtz and Daniel Garcia 8-2 at No. 3.

La Violette defeated Wurtz 4-6, 6-0, 10-6 in a three-set win at No. 2 singles. Andrekus beat Kwon 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3, while Vandenberg trimmed Granados 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4. Crump bested Austin 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5, while Porter Beilfuss blanked Garcia 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
