Two School Records Tumble This Weekend

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had two new school outdoor records set during competitions this weekend.
The Green Knights set new standards in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 4x400-meter relay.
Graceanne Tarsa set a new St. Norbert record in the steeplechase with a time of 10:55.29 to win at the Simpson College Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa. Her mark is currently the ninth-best time in NCAA Division III this season. The 4x400-meter relay of Sarah Duff, Morgan McClone, Maddie Lebrun and Cora Purdue finished ninth at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa with a St. Norbert-record time of 3:52.15. Their time is the sixth-best NCAA Division III showing this spring.
St. Norbert also hosted its own invitational at Schneider Stadium, finishing second out of seven teams with 199 1/2 points. The Green Knights had seven event winners.
Audrey Makope won the 100-meter dash in 12.37 seconds, while Emelia Lichty won the 200-meter dash in 27.74 seconds. Kelley Gardipee earned the win in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.12. Gretchen Price claimed the 3,000-meter run in 10:59.30.
The quartet of Joyana Tarsa, Alex Bruley, Megan Cibulka and Claire Van Beek won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:24.34.
Kirsten Carrigan won the pole vault with a height of 10 feet 8 3/4 inches, while Sydney Pfotenhauer took the javelin throw with a length of 87-3.
