DE PERE - St. Norbert College's athletic department swept the Midwest Conference Men's and Women's Ralph Shively All-Sports Awards for the 2018-19 school year.

The Green Knight women extended their MWC record with their 16th all-sports win, while the men claimed the award for the fifth time. St. Norbert last won the women's trophy in 2017 and the men last won in 2016. It marked the third time St. Norbert has swept the awards, joining 2004 and 2014.

"We are proud to celebrate this achievement our nearly 600 student-athletes and our staff accomplished together," St. Norbert athletics director Tim Bald said. "This award signifies sustained excellence throughout the school year and the effort it takes to do so."

The women totaled 80 points to win the award, clipping Grinnell College by two points for the title. St. Norbert was the only school to not have a women's team finish in the bottom half of the conference in any sport. The Green Knight captured conference championships in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and had runner-up finishes in volleyball and softball.

The men finished with 81 points to finish well ahead of defending all-sports champion Monmouth College, which totaled 75 points. St. Norbert won conference titles in football, soccer and basketball while posting runner-up finishes in indoor track, outdoor track and golf.
