Nationally Ranked Green Knights Trip Elmhurst

WHEATON, Ill. - St. Norbert College got a pair of goals from Seth Boldt as the Green Knights opened their 2019 season with a 2-0 win over Elmhurst College at the Wheaton College Bob Baptista Invitational at Joe Bean Stadium.

The Green Knights, ranked No. 25 in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Poll, face Wheaton at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the championship match. Wheaton trimmed Wittenberg University 5-0 in the other game.

St. Norbert pushed ahead when Boldt scored from the right edge of the box off a Jonnie Winkler assist at the 39:17 mark. Boldt gave the Green Knights some breathing room in the second half, scoring from out front at 57:33 off a Lucas Rojas assist.

Ben Holtzen and Josh Koleske combined for the shutout, finishing with three total saves.

St. Norbert outshot Elmhurst 13-10, while corner kicks were even at two apiece.
