Green Knights Win Northwestern Tournament

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College earned the championship of the University of Northwestern's Kathryne Pals Legacy Invitational at Ericksen Center.

The Green Knights finished their season-opening tournament with a 3-1 record after a pair of wins on the second day. St. Norbert rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tip St. Scholastica 3-2 by scores of 22-25, 16-25, 25-20, 25-14, 17-15. The Green Knights then defeated Buena Vista University 3-1 at 25-22, 25-16, 19-25, 25-11.

St. Norbert totaled 68 kills against St. Scholastica, with four players posting at least 13 kills. Grace Baumann and Lexie Van Hiel each had 14 kills, while Jessica Geurts and Katelyn Hanrahan had 13 kills apiece. Emily Rohloff had 54 assists.

Baumann had a team-high 22 digs, while Liz Maastricht added 19 digs. Rohloff chipped in with 14 digs and Hanrahan 13 digs. Geurts and Van Hiel had four blocks apiece.

Against Buena Vista, St. Norbert hit .264 (47-18-110). Baumann was the only Green Knight to reach double figures in kills with 12, while Geurts and Van Hiel had nine apiece. Rohloff finished with 41 assists. Geurts finished with six service aces, while Baumann and Colleen DeLisle had three apiece. St. Norbert had 14 service aces against the Beavers.

Maastricht, who was St. Norbert's All-Tournament selection, had a match-high 18 digs. Bauman added 12 digs.
