St. Norbert Splits First Two Matches at Loras Tournament

DUBUQUE, Iowa - St. Norbert College broke even in its first two matches at the Loras College Invitational at the Loras Athletic & Wellness Center.

The Green Knights (4-2) opened with a tough 3-0 loss to the host Duhawks 25-22, 26-24, 26-24 before rebounding to sweep Dominican University 25-22, 25-14, 25-16.

St. Norbert hit .206 in its win over Dominican, getting 40 kills against 18 errors in 107 attempts. Grace Baumann finished with 12 kills, 10 digs and two service aces. Emily Rohloff had 25 assists. Liz Maastricht had a team-high 15 digs, while Taleise Lawrence added 11 digs. Jessica Geurts added two service aces.

Against Loras, the Green Knights hit .124 (40-24-129). Lexie Van Hiel had a team-high 13 kills, while Baumann added 10 kills. Rohloff totaled 34 assists.

Baumann had a team-high 14 digs, with Maastricht added 12 digs and Rohloff 11 digs.
