DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a late goal from Grace Krause to lift the Green Knights to a 1-0 win over Lakeland University in a non-conference game at Schneider Stadium.

Krause's goal, her first at the collegiate level, came in the 73rd minute when she lofted a high, arching shot from the right side from the edge of the penalty area. The ball carried over Lakeland goalkeeper Emely Ortega's head and tucked into the upper-left corner of the net to give the Green Knights the lead.

St. Norbert dominated the run of play, holding a 28-2 shots advantage, but the Muskies employed a defensive strategy employing several players deep in their defensive territory to prevent a ball slipping across the goal line.

The Green Knights had 10 corner kicks while not yielding any. Three goalkeepers split time for St. Norbert, with Ally Magiera working about 21 minutes making one save, while Ava Seifert finished the first half and did not see a shot. McKenna Lacy made one save in the final 45 minutes. Ortega made 13 saves for the Muskies.
