St. Norbert Falls By Goal at Carroll

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College battled College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Carroll University down to the end but ended up falling in a 2-1 decision in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (2-5) found themselves tied with the Pioneers 1-1 at halftime, but Carroll's Erika Hess scored the game-winning goal in the 48th minute for the difference.

Carroll (4-1) took the early lead on a Kaitlyn Zamon goal at the 11:53 mark, but St. Norbert's Lisa Beine tied the game with an unassisted goal at 35:07.

The Pioneers outshot the Green Knights 12-5 and also held a 4-2 advantage in corner-kick opportunities. Ally Magiera made five saves for St. Norbert, while Christina O'Block made three saves for Carroll.
