St. Norbert Finishes 11th at National Catholic Championship

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - St. Norbert College placed 11th out of 20 teams at the 2019 National Catholic Championship at the University of Notre Dame's Burke Golf Course.

The Green Knights finished with 289 points. Notre Dame won the team title with a perfect score of 15 points. The Irish's Dylan Jacobs won the individual title with a time of 25:08.94 on the 5-mile course. A total of 159 contestants finished the route.

Joe Gasick paced St. Norbert's effort with a 35th-place overall finish in 27:00.99. Matt Holloway was 58th in 27:45.09, while Connor Sisel was 65th in 27:58.56.

Evan McVittie finished in 77th place in 28:44.34, followed by Ethan Sowl in 79th place in 28:47.50. Matthew McKendry finished in 96th place with a time of 29:36.03, followed by Randy Johnson in 107th place in 29:56.59.
