Green Knights Split In La Crosse

LA CROSSE - St. Norbert College split a pair of matches at the UW-La Crosse Quadrangular, losing to the host Eagles 3-0 before rebounding to top Elmhurst College 3-0 at Mitchell Hall.

The Green Knights (9-6) dispatched Elmhurst 27-25, 28-26, 25-20 after losing to La Crosse 25-23, 25-12, 27-25.

Lexie Van Hiel turned in a strong offensive performance against Elmhurst, getting 20 kills against just two errors in 29 attempts, a sparking .621 percentage. Jessica Geurts has 12 kills and four service aces. Grace Baumann added 11 kills for the Green Knights, who hit .286 in the match (54-18-126).

Liz Maastricht led the defense with 20 digs, while Emily Rohloff had 12 digs in addition to her 44 assists. Baumann chipped in with 13 digs.

Against La Crosse, the Green Knights hit a respectable .276 (41-14-98), but the host hit a whopping .465 (52-6-99).

Van Hiel had 12 kills, while Emily Terry added nine. Rohloff had 31 assists. Maastricht totaled 18 digs.
