Green Knights Victory Skein Hits Seven

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College pushed its winning streak to seven matches with a 3-1 win over Carroll University in a non-conference match at Van Male Fieldhouse. The Green Knights won by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 29-27.

St. Norbert (15-6) held a 17-12 lead in the decisive fourth set before the Pioneers (11-9) rallied with five consecutive points to tie the score 17-17. The Green Knights got a side out but Carroll would score the next two points to lead 19-18. The Pioneers would hold set point at 24-23 before St. Norbert had match point at 25-24 and 26-25. Carroll would counter to reach set point at 27-26, but the Green Knights would score three straight points to close out the match. A Carroll service error preceded a Pioneers' attacking error. Colleen DeLisle then recorded match point with a kill for the Green Knights.

St. Norbert hit .227 for the match, getting 62 kills with 27 errors on 154 attempts. Grace Baumann led St. Norbert with 17 kills, while Katelyn Hanrahan and Lexie Van Hiel had 13 kills apiece. Van Hiel's 13 kills came without an error in 28 attempts while also adding three blocks. Emily Rohloff totaled 50 assists and finished with three service aces. DeLisle also had three service aces.

Liz Maastricht topped the back row with 19 digs. Baumann finished with 14 digs, while Hanrahan had 12 digs and DeLisle 10.

Carroll hit .156, getting 38 kills with 17 errors in 135 swings. The Pioneers were led by Kylie Mueller's 10 kills.
