Four Spikers Earn All-MWC Honors

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had four women's volleyball players named to the All-Midwest Conference team.

Senior middle blocker Lexie Van Hiel, senior setter Emily Rohloff and sophomore outside hitter Grace Baumann were first-team All-MWC selections, while sophomore libero Liz Maastricht was a second-team All-MWC honoree. Maastricht was also named MWC Newcomer of the Year.

Van Hiel, an Elgin, Ill., native, finished the regular season with a team-high .376 hitting percentage and averaged 2.92 kills per set. She also posted a team-high 72 blocks and added 26 digs. Van Hiel earned first-team All-MWC honors for the third straight year.

Baumann, a West Bend native, finished with a team-best 3.83 kills per set during the regular season. She paced the Green Knights with 417 kills and was second on the squad with 354 digs. Baumann added 48 blocks and 26 service aces. It was her second consecutive first-team All-MWC selection.

Rohloff, an Appleton native, totaled 10.82 assists per set quarterbacking the St. Norbert offense. Rohloff finished the regular season with 1,190 assists, including 34 service aces and 22 blocks.

Maastricht, a Sun Prairie native, paced the back row with 538 digs, an average of 5.33 per set. She also had 66 assists and 13 service aces.
