Green Knights Blanked by Foresters

DE PERE - St. Norbert College found itself on the wrong end of a 1-0 score in a loss to Lake Forest College in both teams' Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opener at Cornerstone Community Center.

Following a scoreless first period, the Foresters' Austin Aksoy put home a rebound just 29 seconds into the second period for what would hold up as the game's only goal.

St. Norbert came up empty on four power-play opportunities, and couldn't get an equalizer with 47 seconds of extra-attacker time at the end of the game.

The Green Knights outshot the Foresters 25-16. Boyd DiClemente made all 25 stops to get the shutout for Lake Forest, while Ryan Bontorin made 15 saves for the Green Knights.

Lake Forest was 0-for-3 on the power play.
