Green Knights Handily Dispatch Lawrence

APPLETON - St. Norbert College faced its first Midwest Conference foe of the 2019-20 season and posted a convincing 148-51 win over Lawrence University at Boldt Natatorium.

The Green Knights won 10 of the 11 events contested.

Wayne King set a St. Norbert record in the 100-yard breaststroke, breaking his own record with a time of 1:02.02. King also won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.94 seconds.

Ben Stolberg, King, Matt Trotter and Jeffrey Green won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:41.16. The quartet of Trotter, Peter Martin, Stolberg and Killian Riley also took the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:24.41.

Martin won two individual events, taking the 400-yard individual medley in 4:32.75 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:01.48.

Riley claimed the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.73, while also finishing second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.64. Stolberg won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.71 seconds, while Trotter took the 100-yard freestyle in 49.20 seconds. Ray Scribano won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:54.27.

Jared Ashburn was second in two events - in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:49.10 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.96.
