DE PERE - St. Norbert College hung with a high-powered Carroll University squad for 10 minutes but was then stymied in an 82-45 loss in a non-conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

The Green Knights (1-3) canned 10 of 13 field-goal attempts in the first quarter, but still trailed Carroll 23-22 after the first quarter after the Pioneers (1-2) canned 6 of 9 three-point field-goal attempts in the period. Carroll then outscored St. Norbert 23-1 in the second quarter to build a 46-23 halftime lead.

St. Norbert made 6 of 11 field-goal attempts in the third quarter but would get no closer than the halftime deficit. Natalie Cerrato came off the bench to score a team-high 15 points, while Macie Zurfluh added 12 points and six assists. The Green Knights connected on 18 of 51 (35.3 percent) of their field-goal attempts.

The Pioneers (1-2) canned 52.8 percent (28-for-53) of their field-goal attempts and were 14-for-25 (56 percent) from beyond the three-point arc. Theresa Wichser led Carroll with 18 points.
