Green Knights Finish Third at UW-Oshkosh Early Bird

OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College got the jump on the 2020 indoor track and field season by finishing in third place out of 10 teams at the UW-Oshkosh Early Bird Invitational at Kolf Sports Center.

The Green Knights totaled 80 points. Oshkosh won the team title with 226 points, while Carroll University was third with 94 points.

St. Norbert swept the top three spots in the 600-meter run. Maddie LeBrun won the event with a time of 1:39.50, followed by Cora Purdue in second at 1:42.78 and Hailey Ruplinger third at 1:45.43.

Katherine Wanie won the long jump with a distance of 16 feet 5 3/4 inches, while Sydney Zima was second with a distance of 15-6 3/4. Wanie added a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.94 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay of Daijah Brown, Morgan McClone, Purdue and Ruplinger won with a time of 4:10.38.

Audrey Makope was second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.98 seconds. Sara DeGroot was second in the pole vault with a clearance of 10-11 3/4, while Kristen Carrigan was third at 10-6.
