St. Norbert Finishes Fourth at Carthage Invitational

KENOSHA - St. Norbert College finished in fourth place out of eight teams at the three-day Carthage College Invitational at Koenitzer Aquatic Center.

The Green Knights finished with a total of 1,360 points, finishing in front of UW-Oshkosh's 1,240 points. Carthage won the team title with 2,914 points, followed by Lake Forest College in second with 2,066 points and Olivet College in third place with 1,622 points.

St. Norbert had a pair of swimmers set new school records, with Killian Riley in the 400-yard individual medley and Wayne King in the 100-yard breaststroke posting new marks.

Riley turned in a time of 4:20.48 in the 400 IM preliminaries before finishing fifth with a time of 4:24.50 in the finals, topping Peter Martin's record of 4:21.78 set last season. King had a time of 59.53 seconds in the 100 breaststroke preliminaries before finishing fifth in the final with a time of 1:00.86. King's time broke his old mark of 1:02.02.

The 200-yard medley relay of King, Riley, Matt Trotter and Jeffrey Green finished second with a time of 1:39.72.

Riley, Ray Scribano, King and Martin finished in fifth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:24.84.

Martin was sixth in the 400 IM with a time of 4:25.95 and added an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time off 2:06.84. King added a sixth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.63 seconds while Trotter was eighth in 21.78 seconds.
