MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College's Tim Nicksic scored 2 minutes 57 seconds into overtime to lift the Green Knights to a 3-2 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering in the first game of a home-and-home Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series at Kern Center.

Nicksic scored off an assist from Jack Thomas for St. Norbert's second overtime win of the season, pushing the Green Knights (6-7, 4-5 NCHA) to their fourth consecutive win.

St. Norbert, which never led in the game until Nicksic's marker, fell behind 1-0 after the first period after the Raiders' Nigel Nelson scored at the 6:24 mark.

The Green Knights registered a power-play goal at 9:31 of the second period when Peter Bates scored for the sixth time this season, assisted on the play by Brandon Gysbers and Dominick Sacco. MSOE (6-3-2, 1-3-2) wasted little time taking the lead back when Jeff Makowski scored a power-play goal at 12:56 of the second period, which held up into the second intermission.

St. Norbert scored the third period's only goal when Kurt Black posted his team-high ninth marker of the season, finishing off a Luke Davison helper at 4:20.

The Green Knights outshot MSOE 33-28, including 12-9 in the third period. Colby Entz made 26 saves for St. Norbert, while Logan Hallday made 30 stops for the Raiders.

St. Norbert was 1-for-3 on the power play, while MSOE was 1-for-2.
