St. Norbert Battles Hiram

HIRAM, Ohio - St. Norbert College opened the Hiram College Tournament with a 3-0 loss to the host Terriers at Price Gymnasium. The Green Knights fell by scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-23.

The Green Knights were tied with Hiram 20-20 in the first set before the Terriers scored the last five points to clinch the set. St. Norbert then held third-set leads of 10-4, 20-16, 22-20 and 23-22 before Hiram scored the final three points to clinch the match.

St. Norbert hit .122, with 25 kills and 15 errors in 82 attempts. Josh Hauke led the Green Knights with seven kills, while Ben Rinella added six kills and Sean Loughney five. Eddie Pacula had 10 assists while Rinella added six.

Jake Bettag finished with five blocks, while Rinella added three. Pacula posted a team-high eight digs.

Hiram hit .337 with 43 kills and 12 errors in 92 attempts. Tom Supan led the Terriers with 18 kills.
