St. Norbert Competes at Rose-Hulman, Indiana University Meets

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - St. Norbert College finished in fourth place at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Friday Night Spikes Meet at the Sports & Performance Center.

The Green Knights finished fourth out of six teams with a total of 53 points. Rose-Hulman won the team title with 160 points, followed by Millikin University in second place with 113 points.

Select competitors also performed at the Indiana University Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. Sam Stelloh led St. Norbert at that event with a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.43 seconds. Joe Gasick finished fifth in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:22.08.

At Rose-Hulman, Jaxsen Schermacher won the long jump with a distance of 22 feet 3 inches. He also finished second in the pole vault with a height of 14-8. Max Schermacher was third in the pole vault with a height of 13-8 1/4.

Matt Holloway finished third in the 800-meter run in 2:01.76. Oren Kestell fashioned a pair of fourth-place finishes with a high jump height of 6-4 3/4 and long jump distance of 21-3 1/4. James McKnight finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.07 seconds. Miles Mulder was fourth in the 1-mile run in 4:34.10 and Matthew McKendry was fifth with a time 4:35.74.

Gregory Bernasek was fifth in the 400-meter dash in 54.08 seconds. Karter Decker was sixth in the triple jump in 42-0 1/2, while Eric Herman was sixth in the weight throw at 44-0 1/2. Robby Cicciarelli was sixth in the high jump at 5-8 3/4.
