Green Knights Eke Past MSOE

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College picked up a hard-fought 5-4 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering in the second of two matches on the first day of competition of the season at Western Racquet & Fitness Club. The Green Knights also suffered a 9-0 setback to NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay in their season opener.

St. Norbert picked up one doubles point against MSOE, with Jordan Crump and Porter Beilfuss earning an 8-5 win over Joshua Fay and Jonas Vorkauf at No. 3.

The Green Knights then claimed singles wins in the final four flights. Luke Andrekus picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win over Vorkauf at No. 3, while Beilfuss earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Ryan Emerich at No. 4. Crump gained a 6-4, 6-3 triumph over Bejanmin Steves at No. 5, followed by Michael Stanaszak's three-set win over Peter Gudopp by scores of 6-2, 5-7, 10-6 at No. 6.
