APPLETON - St. Norbert College put 67 shots on goal but could only get one past the goal line and dropped a 3-1 decision at Lawrence University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Appleton Ice Center.

The Green Knights were turned away 66 times by Lawrence goaltender Evan Cline, who made 19 saves in the first period, 23 in the second period and 24 in the third period.

The game was scoreless through two periods, with Lawrence breaking through on a Zach Lodes goal 50 seconds into the third period. The Green Knights would finally score on Mitchell Zambon's first collegiate goal at 13:24, and narrowly missed taking the lead moments later. But Lodes would give Lawrence the lead on a goal at 16:16, and Jake Drinkard scored an empty-net goal at 19:25 to seal the win.

St. Norbert outshot Lawrence 67-29. The Green Knights were 0-for-4 on the power play, while Lawrence was 0-for-3. Colby Entz made 26 saves for the Green Knights.
