DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored three third-period goals to post its fifth consecutive home win with a 4-1 win over Aurora University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (8-16, 7-8 NCHA) could finish in fifth place with a win in their regular-season finale against the Spartans (16-8, 10-5) on Saturday, coupled with a Concordia University Wisconsin loss to Lake Forest College.

St. Norbert fell behind when Aurora's Nicole McKernan scored a shorthanded goal at the 17:27 mark of the first period. The Green Knights wouldn't trail for very long, tying the game up at 1-1 when Ava Jaschke pumped in a power-play goal just 10 seconds later.

The score would remained deadlocked at 1-1 all the way into the third period until Lisa Lenell broke the stalemate when she scored at the 4:20 mark. St. Norbert would pull ahead 3-1 when hannah Hickman scored her fourth goal of the season at 8:24, with Eve Parker assisting for her 20th point of the season. The Green Knights salted the game away when Lenell scored her fifth goal of the year off an assist from Libbie Doney on Senior Night with an empty-net marker at 18:46.

St. Norbert's lone seniors - Lenell and Doney - had the Green Knights' lone multi-point games on Senior Night. In addition to Lenell's two goals, Doney finished with two assists.

Aurora outshot St. Norbert 29-24, but Anais Aurard made 28 saves for the Green Knights. Chiara Pfosi made 20 stops for the Spartans.

The Green Knights were 1-for-4 on the power play, while Aurora was 0-for-5.
