Green Knights Drop Pair of Non-Conference Matches

FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College lost a pair of non-conference matches, falling to Cardinal Stritch University and Marian University both by 3-0 scores at Marian's Sadoff Gym.

The Green Knights fell to Cardinal Stritch, ranked No. 8 in the NAIA Men's Volleyball Top 10, by scores of 25-13, 28-26, 25-23. St. Norbert then lost to Marian 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.

In the second set against Cardinal Stretch, the Green Knights rallied from a 19-15 deficit to take a 22-19 lead behind the serving of Jake Krueger. The set would eventualy be tied at 24-24, 25-25 and 26-26, but St. Norbert couldn't get the advantage in the end-set deuce. St. Norbert hung with Cardinal Stritch in the third set, trailing 21-20 and 24-23, but the Wolves converted match point.

St. Norbert finished with 19 kills in the match, getting vie from Morgan Wilson and four apiece from Jake Bettag and Josh Hauke. Ben Rinella added eight assists and Eddie Pacula finished with seven assists. Sean Loughney registered six blocks and seven digs, while Bettag, Hauke and Wilson had four blocks each.

Against Marian, the Green Knights totaled 18 kills. Hauke finished with a team-high seven. Rinella and Pacula had seven assists each. Jackson Wolterstorff and Chris Rosene finished with three blocks apiece.
