DECATUR, Ill. - St. Norbert College pitching struck out 12 Loras College hitters as the Green Knights took a 5-2 win over the Duhakws in their final game of the Millikin University Tournament at Workman Family Baseball Field.

The Green Knights (2-1) yielded just one earned run as starting pitcher Carson Jacques went seven innings and allowed just four hits with one walk and nine strikeouts. Following a scoreless set-up inning from Luke Follmann, Bryce Braspenniickx struck out the side in the ninth inning to lock up the win.

St. Norbert took the lead with a run in the second inning. Sebastien Dubois tripled with one out and scored on Peyton Jack's single to left field. The Green Knights added two runs in the third inning when Lucas Reynolds beat out a comebacker to the pitcher and later came around to score on Jack Maastricht's groundout. Max Van Boxel's grounder then plated Brett Reinhart, who had singled.

Loras scored twice on two hits and two St. Norbert errors in the top of the fifth, but the Green Knights got one of the runs back in their half of the frame with Reinhart scoring on an error. St. Norbert picked up an insurance run in the sixth inning when Maastricht reached on catcher's interference with the bases loaded.

Reinhart finished 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Jack finished 2-for-2 for the Green Knights, who had six hits.
