St. Norbert Netters Push Winning Streak to Seven

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College tied a school record with its seventh consecutive dual meet win with a hard-fought 5-4 triumph over Monmouth College at Western Racquet Club.
The Green Knights improved to 14-8 on the season, which puts them two wins short of tying the school record for wins in a season at 16 set in 2007.
St. Norbert won two three-set matches in singles play and also won a tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles to tip the match in its favor.
Matt Schmitz improved to 13-4 this season and won his sixth straight match with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Brian Miller at No. 6 singles. Derek Harrington moved to 11-9 this season with his fifth straight win, a 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4 triumph over Sam Graf at No. 2 singles. Jordan Bauer and Mike Hyrczyk picked up a key doubles point with a 9-8 (7-5) win over Kyle Korb and Chris Utterback at No. 1.
Ethan Kadow, now 10-5 this season, topped Ben Morrow 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5 singles. Eric Koppmann and Schmitz beat Morrow and Matt Smith at No. 3 doubles 8-4 for St. Norbert's fifth win.
