Green Knights Finish Third at UW-Oshkosh Invitational

OSHKOSH - The St. Norbert College women's track and field team finished third at the UW-Oshkosh Indoor Invitational at Kolf Sports Center. The Green Knights' 46 points placed behind UW-Oshkosh and North Central and ahead of UW-Parkside and Ripon.

Ashley Graybill and Jenny Scherer each picked up first-place finishes. Graybill claimed the top spot in the 400-meter run with a time of 57.69 seconds, a new St. Norbert record. Graybill's time also provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Division III indoor meet in March. Scherer won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:16.90.

Melissa Fabry finished third in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet 7 inches. Stacy Holmberg took fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 31-4 1/2.

A pair of St. Norbert relays each placed third. Holmgren, Katie Meyer, Anne Mueller and Nikki Swanson - all freshmen - finished with a time of 1:53.84 in the 4x200 meter relay.

Meg Gross, Allison Harvey, Jenna Kick and Marisa Trakanovich finished with a time of 14:46.08 in the distance medley.
