DE PERE - Kayla Krueger scattered seven hits and Jessica Kropp had the eventual game-winning single as St. Norbert College split a doubleheader with UW-Stevens Point at Mel Nicks Field. The Green Knights won the nightcap 2-1 after dropping the opener 3-1.

St. Norbert (11-16) split with the Pointers (19-15) for the second consecutive season. The Green Knights took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap when Kristin Zimmerman's foul sacrifice fly scored Stephanie Ortiz.

In the second inning, Stevens Point tied the game on an Allie Dorn single. In the Green Knights' half, Brieanne Oehlke led off with a double to right-center. After an out, Oehlke moved up to third on a wild pitch. Kropp then drove in Oehlke with a solid single.

Krueger then did not face a scoring threat again until the seventh inning when the Pointers had runners at first and second with one out. A force play at third pace and a groundout to shortstop Amy Brunner ended the inning and the game.

Krueger allowed seven hits with no walks and five strikeouts. The Green Knights had just three hit off Pointer pitcher Jessica Berger.

In the opener, Brittany Zelenka's two-run home run with two outs in the top of the seventh inning made the difference for the Pointers. The Green Knights scored their only run in the fourth inning on a solo home run by Oehlke. Her home run was her sixth of the year, tying her own school record set in 2007.

Stephanie Ortiz was 3-for-3 with a double in the opener, while Krueger and Collette Ullmer were both 2-for-3. Kropp took the loos, allowing three hits and two runs in three innings of relief.
