St. Norbert Improves to 1-1 on Greece Trip

KALAMATA, Greece - St. Norbert College evened its record during its men's basketball trip to Greece with a 62-50 win over Nikiti Ekaskenop. The Green Knights are 1-1 with two games remaining.

Dave Wipperfurth hit two 3-pointers in the final 1 minute 26 seconds to clinch the win for St. Norbert. Wipperfurth led the Green Knights with 15 points and canned four 3-pointers in the game.

Steve Papke added 13 points for the Green Knights, while Rob Durrett scored nine points while grabbing nine rebounds.

Jake Dietz had seven points, Matt Coenen six, Chris Peterson four, Kenny Rideout and John Taylor three each and Kyle Johnsen two. Taylor had 10 total rebounds, including four on the offensive end.

St. Norbert shot 36 percent from the floor, making 22 of 61 shots. St. Norbert shot 13-for-23 (56.5 percent) from the floor in the first half.
