MEQUON - Offense was the story in the St. Norbert College women's soccer team's 2009 season opener, but the Green Knights didn't have enough of it in a wild 6-3 non-conference loss at Concordia University Wisconsin.

The Falcons scored three times in the last 11 minutes to break away from a 3-3 tie to secure the win. St. Norbert had tied it at 3-3 in the 75th minute on Stephanie Gatyas' second goal of the game.

St. Norbert held a 2-1 first-half lead after Gatyas' goal in the seventh minute and Kelsey Knudson's marker in the 40th minute were sandwiched around a goal by Concordia's Lauren Straehler. Kelli Wittenberg tied the game at 2-2 just before halftime, and Straehler put the Falcons ahead in the 56th minute.

Gatyas scored unassisted in the 75th minute but goals by Hannah Brehmer, Straehler and Becky Ott down the stretch decided the game.

Concordia outshot St. Norbert 16-10. Mary Ryan made one save for the Falcons, while Cara Tazioli made eight saves for St. Norbert.
