Gatyas Scores Twice to Push St. Norbert Past North Park

DE PERE - Stephanie Gatyas scored both St. Norbert College goals as the Green Knights claimed a 2-1 non-conference win over North Park University at Minahan Stadium Complex.

The Green Knights have won two straight games and are now 2-2 on the season. North Park fell to 3-2.

Gatyas gave St. Norbert a 1-0 lead when she scored at 35 minutes 30 seconds into the game on a breakaway, with Nicole Hynes assisting. The Vikings tied the match just before halftime when Everly Ban knocked in a header at 43:17.

Gatyas put St. Norbert ahead to stay at 52:01 when she finished off a pair of good set-up passes from Ann Maki and Katherine Larson.

St. Norbert held a 12-5 shots advantage, while corner kicks were even 4-4. Cara Tazioli made two saves for St. Norbert, while Ashley Jacobson had three saves for North Park.
