Green Knights Move to 5-0 With Win Over Lakeland

DE PERE - St. Norbert College moved to 5-0 on the 2009 season with a 2-0 non-conference win over Lakeland College at the Minahan Stadium Complex.

The Green Knights, who have outscored their opponents 17-2 on the season, scored a pair of first-half goals to claim the win.

Kevin Conrath scored the game's first marker when he knocked in a pass from Mike Burmesch at the 29:37 mark for his second goal of the season. Adam Sanchez scored his fourth goal of the year when he scored off an assist from Burmesch at 34:56.

St. Norbert outshot the Muskies 22-6 and held a 10-5 advantage in corner kicks. Joe Schwartz made three saves while playing the first half for St. Norbert, while Nolan Picchietti did not have to make a save while playing the second half. Ross Soukup made five saves for Lakeland (1-1-1).
