Scherer Places Sixth at Roy Griak Invitational

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College senior Jenny Scherer placed sixth to lead the Green Knights at the Division III Women's race at the University of Minnesota's Roy Griak Invitational.
Scherer's time of 22:49 in the 6,000-meter race placed her sixth out of 500 runners in the race. Bethel University's Marie Borner won the event with a time of 21:36.
St. Norbert finished 15th out of 37th teams with a score of 461 points. UW-La Crosse won the meet with a total of 98 points.
Amanda Whipple placed 52nd with a time of 24:12, while Brianna Skrzypcak was 127th with a time of 25:30. Kim Keil was 134th in 25:46 and Kali Reierson was 142nd in 26:03 to round out St. Norbert's scorers.
Erika Quinn was 168th with a time of 27:03, and Melissa Menne was 174th with a time of 27:17.
