St. Norbert Rallies Past Carroll

DE PERE - St. Norbert College rallied from a two-set deficit to top Carroll University in a Midwest Conference match at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights dropped the first two sets before winning sets three and four convincingly. St. Norbert then had to hand on in the decisive fifth set to win 23-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-16, 15-13.

St. Norbert (14-7, 3-0 MWC) was sluggish in the first two sets before rebounding to take control of the match. The Green Knights led 13-9 in the fifth set before seeing their lead evaporate to 14-13, but went on to get the win.

St. Norbert was led by 12 kills from Sarah Sulentic. Laura Ayello had 46 assists, while Catherine Guido had 37 digs. Sulentic added five blocks for the Green Knights, who hit .112 in the match.

Carroll (11-11, 1-3 MWC) hit .056 for the match. Heather Kulibert had 12 kills for the Pioneers, while Samantha Derynda had 23 assists. Megan Falk had 46 digs for Carroll.
