St. Norbert Moves to 5-0 in MWC With Sweep of Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College moved to 5-0 in the Midwest Conference women's volleyball standings with a three-set sweep of Monmouth College at Glennie Gym.

The Green Knights (16-7, 5-0 MWC) extended their winning streak to a season-high six matches in topping the Scots 25-17, 25-14, 25-23. Monmouth fell to 9-9, 3-4.

St. Norbert gradually pulled away win the first set, and led 19-15 before closing the set out on a 6-2 run. The Green Knights dominated the action in the second set, leading by as much as 18-5 and 21-8.

Sam Jungbluth and Sarah Sulentic led St. Norbert with nine kills apiece. The Green Knights hit .363 for the match, and also had seven kills each from Danielle Remy and Mary Kate Manion. Laura Ayello had 38 assists, while Catherine Guido had 16 digs.
