RIVER FALLS - St. Norbert College claimed an impressive 3-1 win over UW-River Falls in a non-conference match at Ramer Field.

The Green Knights, who improved to 10-7, topped a River Falls (9-9-1) squad that finished in third place in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. It was the first meeting between the two programs, and St. Norbert now owns wins all-time over seven of the nine WIAC women's soccer programs.

St. Norbert pushed out to a 1-0 halftime lead when Jessica Schadrie scored her 10th goal of the season, finding the back of the net at 37 minutes 47 seconds off an Ann Maki assist.

River Falls tied the match at 69:42 when Janae Baron scored her 10th goal of the season. The Green Knights regained the lead just 1:10 later when Ann Maki scored off an assist from Caitlin Carrigan off a scramble in front of the net. Maki then scored again, her sixth goal of the year, off an assist from Jessica Schadrie on a blast from about 25 feet out.

River Falls outshot St. Norbert 25-15, including 16-8 in the second half, and also held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks. Molly Schroeder picked up her first collegiate victory for St. Norbert, making nine saves. Rachel Thompson made four saves for the Falcons.
