St. Norbert Tops Ripon, Head to Beloit Friday For MWC Showdown

DE PERE - St. Norbert College dominated Ripon College in three sets to remain unbeaten in the Midwest Conference women's volleyball race in a match played at Schuldes Sports Center.

St. Norbert (21-9, 8-0 MWC) topped Ripon (11-17, 5-3) by scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-15. The Green Knights travel to Beloit for a match at 8 p.m. Friday to determine the Midwest Conference champion and host for the MWC Tournament next week.

The Green Knights didn't waste much time taking command of the match, hitting an impressive .281 in the first set. St. Norbert hit .210 for the match, netting 35 kills with 14 errors in 100 attempts.

Sarah Sulentic led St. Norbert with eight kills, while Tory Dohm and Lauren Meehan had seven apiece. Laura Ayello had 25 assists and 13 digs, while Catherine Guido had 14 digs. Danielle Remy had a match-high seven blocks.

Ripon hit minus-.008 for the match, with 24 kills and 25 errors in 119 attacks. Christy Looker had a team-high nine kills, while Alison Ernst had 19 assists.
