CLEVELAND - St. Norbert College's Jenny Scherer became an All-American for the second consecutive year with a tenth-place showing at the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Meet at Highland Park Golf Course.

Scherer, who finished seventh nationally in 2008, finished with a time of 22 minutes 22 seconds, and was just two seconds out of finishing seventh. St. Lawrence's Wendy Pavlus won the 6,000-meter race with a time of 21:28. A total of 279 runners competed.

UW-Eau Claire won the team championship with 171 points, while St. Lawrence was the runner-up with 180 points.

Scherer's two top-10 finishes are the best for any St. Norbert cross country runner ever at the NCAA National Meet.
