Relays Pace St. Norbert at UW-Stevens Point Invite

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College claimed wins in all three relays as the Green Knights took second place at the UW-Stevens Point Pointer Invitaitonal.

The Green Knights scored 123 points, well off the pace set with UW-Stevens Point's 239 points. St. Norbert topped Ripon College's third-place total of 101.5 points.

St. Norbert's 4x400-meter relay of Ryan Ascher, Steve Schumacher, Ham Dowden and Dann Schneider won handily with a time of 3 minutes 27.93 seconds. The foursome of Kirk Fishel, Schneider, Dowden and Schreiber won the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:32.48. Kory Baker, Schneider, Ben Knapp and Matt Leser won the distance medley relay with a time of 11:23.78.

Jordan Gobert won the pole vault with a cleared height of 3.95 meters, while Jake Day placed third with a height of 3.65 meters.

Paul Leeman was third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.59 meters, while Ascher was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.21 seconds.
