KISSIMMEE, Fla. - St. Norbert College split a pair of games during its third day at the Rebel Spring Games, losing 3-2 to Simpson College and winning a 1-0 squeaker over William Paterson University.

The Green Knights improved to 4-2 on their trip with four games remaining in the Sunshine State.

Sophomore Jessica Kropp spun a six-hit shutout with one walk and one strikeout to earn the win over William Paterson, which entered the game receiving votes in the NFCA Division III Top 25.

The Green Knights scored the game's only run when Alissa Purko led off the bottom of the seventh with a double, and was sacrificed to third by Tracy Palmer. Stephanie Ortiz's single plated Purko for the game's only run.

St. Norbert had 11 hits against William Paterson but did not draw a walk or force an error. Palmer, Kayla Krueger, Collette Ullmer and Kristin Zimmerman all had two hits for the Green Knights.

Against Simpson, the Storm scored two runs in the first inning and one in the second to take an early 3-0 lead. St. Norbert didn't score until getting two runs with two outs in the seventh on a two-run single by Morgan Buboltz. The Green Knights finished with five hits in the game.

Kari Corbeille took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing three hits with two walks in two-plus innings of work.
