DE PERE - St. Norbert College kept its hot streak going with a 5-3 and 4-3 doubleheader sweep of Lakeland College in a pair of non-conference games at Mel Nicks Field.

The Green Knights, who are now 24-6 on the season, set a school record for wins and have won 19 of their last 20 games. Lakeland fell to 19-11.

St. Norbert used a four-run third inning to take command in the opener. Stephanie Ortiz singled in Alyssa McGray. Kayla Krueger then singled home Brittany Narges. Ortiz scored on a wild pitch, and then Brieanne Oehlke's groundout plated Krueger.

The Muskies would score twice in the fifth, but the visitors would not get a baserunner in the last two innings.

Jessica Kropp picked up the win, allowing eight hits with three walks and one strikeout. Kari Corbeille faced the minimum in a two-inning save. St. Norbert had just five hits and did not have anyone with a multi-hit game.

The Green Knights had to rally from a 3-1 deficit in the nightcap. Lakeland led 3-1 in the second before St. Norbert cut it to 3-2 in its half of the inning on an Alyssa McGray double to score Morgan Buboltz. St. Norbert scored the decisive runs in the fifth on a two-run home run by Buboltz.

Kayla Krueger improved to 11-1 with the win, allowing seven hits with two walks and five striekouts. Buboltz was 3-for-3, while Oehlke was 2-for-3.
