St. Norbert Drops Dual to Lawrence

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College dropped a 5-4 heartbreaker to Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference North Division dual meet at Western Racquet.

Lawrence (15-8, 4-0 MWC) won the MWC North Division title with the win. The Green Knights end the regular season at 12-18 overall and 3-1 in the MWC, and will face Grinnell College in the semifinals of the MWC Team Tournament April 30.

The Vikings picked up two doubles points to get the early lead. St. Norbert's Derek Harrington and Nate Tackaberry topped Caleb Ray and Max Zlevor 8-5 at No. 2 for the Green Knights' lone tandems win.

Jordan Bauer beat Ray 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, while Mike Hyrczyk topped Zlevor 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5. Matt Lobeck won 6-4, 6-3 over Peter Mohr at No. 6.
